Project Description

Built in 1922 by planter J.F. Arley Alford as a tribute to his love for a noble Scottish bride, Ayr Castle stands as an architectural marvel, meticulously designed to mirror the grandeur of Scottish castles. Constructed entirely of stone, its creation was a monumental endeavor, with estate staff and even elephants employed to transport the massive building materials. Today, the castle endures as a timeless symbol of passion, heritage, and craftsmanship.

The refurbishment project sought to transform the historic bungalow into an ultra-luxury boutique retreat, offering an exquisite fusion of elegance and modern sophistication.

Guests will be welcomed into a grand lobby, which seamlessly connects to various refined spaces, including an enclosed lounge opening to expansive verandahs, and an intimate formal dining room. A curated wine cellar enhances the experience, allowing visitors to indulge in fine beverages within the bar lounge or on the serene outdoor patio.

The first floor is thoughtfully designed to provide a haven of comfort and leisure, featuring two opulent luxury suites. Guests can unwind in the scenic reading room, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, or enjoy the recreational offerings of a private pool and a cozy TV lounge. This harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary luxury ensures an unforgettable experience for all who visit.
