Browns Ev Showroom - Darley Road

Project Description

Originally designed in 1930 as the flagship store for Ford automobiles, the space was later repurposed as a sales office for a leading financial organization in Sri Lanka.

We were entrusted with the task of restoring the building to its original function as a car showroom—this time reimagined for the emerging era of electric vehicles (EVs).

The compact floor area relies on artificial lighting, which has been skillfully designed to enhance the showroom’s visibility and presence along the bustling streetscape of Colombo.

With numerous competitors located along the same stretch, the façade—though spatially constrained—integrates a dynamic LED screen to capture the attention of passersby and strengthen the brand’s street presence.
